Following an All-Star-caliber season that saw him as one of the three candidates for Defensive Player of the Year, Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was rewarded with a rating of 88 on NBA 2K18.

The Frenchman wasn't satisfied with the rating (what a surprise), but has seen his videogame look-alike take long strides after starting out with a rating of 52 when he was first introduced in the game in 2013.

Gobert has proved to be one of the most dominant shot-blockers in the league, leading the NBA with 214 rejections last season.

His offensive game has also taken off, averaging double-digits scoring for the first time in his career with 14 points and 12.8 rebounds per game.

The Stifle Tower can see those numbers and his aforementioned rating go up with Ricky Rubio at the point, as he figures to be at the end of many lobs from the Spanish dime wizard. His involvement within the offense after the departure of Gordon Hayward should also prove to be a heftier one as Utah scrambles to find a go-to scorer in his absence.

Every player can't be a 90-something in the popular 2K Sports videogame, but it is Gobert's defensive mastery that has him ranked as one of the top defenders in this iteration.
