The New York Jets have once again been a pitfall of despair, both in football terms and in fantasy football. However, over the last month or so, a spark of life has been given to fantasy managers paying attention. Elijah Moore has been outstanding at wide receiver. Since Week 9, no receiver in the NFL has more touchdowns than Moore's five scores.

Unfortunately for fantasy managers, they might be without his services this week in a juicy matchup vs the New Orleans Saints. Moore missed Wednesday's practice with a quad issue. He is considered day-to-day. Jets head coach Robert Saleh said he is hopeful that Moore can suit up Sunday.

On paper, the Saints defense is pretty stout. But in half point per reception leagues this season, the Saints have allowed the 4th most fantasy points to wide receivers. That's what would make this a tough loss for teams that have come to rely on Moore's production.

The rookie 2nd round pick out of Ole Miss has come out of nowhere the second half of the season. What's even more impressive is how he is doing it. Over the last five weeks, Moore has caught touchdown passes from Mike White, Joe Flacco, Zach Wilson and Josh Johnson. That is insanely impressive for the youngster.

This late season boon is similar to what we saw from former Jets receiver Robby Anderson during the 2019 season.

Look for Moore to get in at least a limited practice Thursday or Friday. That would bode well for his chances to play Sunday vs the Saints. If he is active, you can count on Moore as a low end WR2.
