When Le'Veon Bell signed a four-year, $52 million contract with the New York Jets last March, this was surely not what he anticipated.

Bell was used only scarcely during his first season in the Big Apple (technically East Rutherford, but that's neither here nor there), rushing for 789 yards and three touchdowns while averaging a meager 3.2 yards per carry. He did catch 61 passes, but for just 461 yards and a lone score.

The Jets also reportedly shopped Bell at the trade deadline, but were unable to find any takers. The club has also remained noncommittal to Bell heading into this offseason, an indication that Gang Green could try to trade him.

Clearly, head coach Adam Gase is not a fan of Bell, but the running back insists that he does not have a beef with Gase:

“Me and coach Gase had our exit meeting,” Bell told TMZ Sports. “It was fine, so we straight. Yeah, we good.”

Bell also sees himself remaining with the Jets for the long haul:

“Everybody blowing everything out of proportion,” Bell says. “Water under the bridge — we're fine. We good … Jets for four more years unless something drastic changes.”

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Michigan State, was originally selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round (48th pick overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Le'Veon Bell spent his first six NFL seasons with the Steelers, making three Pro Bowl appearances and earning a couple of First-Team All-Pro selections. However, he did not play at all in 2018 due to a contract dispute before signing with New York.
