The New York Jets are six losses away from going 0-16 on the season, but they could somehow have two rookies make the Pro Bowl.

According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, Jets rookie left tackle Mekhi Becton is leading the fan voting in the AFC for offensive tackles, while punter Braden Mann is leading the conference at his position.

The Jets' final six games are against the Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots. Barring a miracle, all signs point toward New York going 0-16 on the season and getting the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Fans of the Jets are praying New York general manager Joe Douglas fires head coach Adam Gase after the season is over. The 42-year-old has been awful since taking the job, while the Dolphins have improved tremendously since firing Gase.

It's pretty embarrassing that a professional football team can go 0-16 in a season. The 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Browns as the only 0-16 teams in NFL history. New York's players are doing everything they can to avoid joining that putrid club, but thus far, nothing has worked in their favor.

Mekhi Becton and Braden Mann will probably be happy if they make the Pro Bowl even though the game has been canceled for the first time since 1949. At least something will have gone right for the youngsters in their first year in the NFL.
