It didn't take long for Mississippi State safety Brandon Bryant to find an NFL team after going undrafted in Wednesday's supplemental draft.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, it's the New York Jets who emerge as Bryant's first NFL team.

The #Jets are expected to sign former Mississippi State safety Brandon Bryant, source said. Bryant wasn’t selected in NFL supplemental draft, but ran a 4.4-range 40 at pro day, could contribute immediately on special teams.

Bryant, 22, was absolutely snubbed during the supplemental draft on Wednesday that showcased only two selections: Adonis Alexander to the Washington Redskins and Sam Beal to the New York Giants.

In three seasons at Mississippi State, Bryant collected five interceptions, 1.5 sacks, seven passes defensed, one forced fumble, 157 tackles and one defensive touchdown in 37 total games. Due to his excellent measurables, most thought he'd absolutely be selected.

The Jets were one of 14 teams who attended Bryant's Pro Day a few weeks ago (Rams, Browns, Falcons, Giants, 49ers, Redskins, Colts, Steelers, Saints, Jaguars, Texans, Raiders and Ravens). Bryant, 5-foot-11 and 207 pounds, ran a 40 time of 4.45 and 4.52, and a short shuttle of 4.23 while showcasing a 34-vertical and 10-foot-3 broad jump.

Though he'll be behind Jamal Adams, Marcus Maye and J.J. Wilcox on the depth chart, Bryant will absolutely help contribute on special teams and as the third safety when called upon.
