After recently completing his fifth NFL Draft as the general manager of the New York Jets, Mike Maccagnan doesn't appear to be on his way out of East Rutherford.

According to Manish Mehta of The New York Daily News, Maccagnan will continue to serve as the team's general manager despite sometimes failing to get along with new Jets head coach Adam Gase.

With Maccagnan and the Jets getting quite a haul in the 2019 NFL Draft, New York will attempt to turn things around in a hurry in 2019.

“Actually, I think Adam and I have worked very well together,” Maccagnan said on Friday, via The New York Daily News. “I’m sure, like in any process, there are times where… you know, you work through the process.”

Most notably, the Jets selected former Alabama Crimson Tide defensive lineman Quinnen Williams with the No. 3 pick in the draft. The Jets also managed to add former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell this offseason, with the recently concluded draft adding to the team's newfound firepower.

“It’s just like in a scouting meeting,” Maccagnan said, via The New York Daily News. “You might have different opinions on a player. But from my standpoint, I’ve actually had a very good working relationship with Adam. Quite frankly, as I’ve said before, he has a very good sense of humor.”

Nonetheless, it is no secret that the upcoming campaign with be a pivotal one for everyone involved in East Rutherford.
