Every dream comes to an end. It sure did for Jimmy Butler, who's been touting his football game through social media ever since his stay in Rio, where he played some football in his free time.

The Chicago Bulls small forward shared a picture on Instagram of his attendance of the season-opener game between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.

Apparently Butler was enlightened by a 10-year-old at the game when told he had no chance at playing in the NFL. He shared the sentiment with the hashtag #icannotplayfootballguys.

When asked by Ben Swanson of DenverBroncos.com if he could back up his claims of taking Broncos wideout Demaryius Thomas‘ place, Butler said:

“I may get a little bit in over my head, but I talk a big game. I'm not going to say that I can or cannot live up to it on the football field. I guess nobody will ever find out, because I'm never suiting up for an NFL team, but that's the relationship we have.”

Don't mind me, I'll just sit here with my popcorn and wait for Thomas to catch up to his comments and let hilarity ensue.
