Joel Embiid got a little more familiar with his community this offseason, deciding to join a group of kids playing outside at a local playground in Philadelphia.
Settling into a little game of one-on-one, the 7-foot center decided to give the youngster a little taste of “The Process” — ruthlessly swatting away his layup attempt without even getting off the floor.

While the big man was taking it easy on offense, he surely wasn't about to let these kids have an easy one at the rim.
Surely the words “I had my shot blocked by Joel Embiid” are a lot more appealing than “Joel Embiid let me score a layup” for the young man.
If the 23-year-old prodigy is averaging 2.5 blocks per game in the league, just imagine how many rejections he'd rack up terrorizing all the basketball courts in Philly.
