The Philadelphia 76ers have essentially been forced to try out something new.

With more big men than they know what to do with, the Sixers have gone with some bigger lineups recently that feature Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor on the floor together.

This has essentially relegated Embiid to more work on the perimeter, which he has not been thrilled about.

Via CSN Philly:

“I’m not a three-point shooter and I don’t want to take a lot of threes,” Embiid said. “I want to be dominant on the block. But last night was kind of frustrating because I wasn’t as much on the block. But I’ve just got to find my spots and get into the flow of the offense.”

Part of what makes Embiid such a rare talent is his ability on the perimeter shooting threes and even doing things off the bounce. But it's smart for Embiid to realize that it's his complete game that makes him so valuable.

Embiid has become without question the Sixers' best player, no matter where he is on the floor. Philly needs to find a way to utilize Okafor as well as long as they have them but Embiid with his minutes restriction needs to be featured as much as possible.
