Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo has been involved in transfer rumors all summer long, but it appears he was really never going to leave Turin after all. The Portuguese international posted on social media just a few days ago making that clear and then also recently reiterated to Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri that he's happy at the club. Via Fabrizio Romano:

Indeed, PSG was the main European giant who was reportedly vying for Cristiano Ronaldo's services, but after signing Lionel Messi, it did seem unlikely they would make a move for the Juventus talisman. However, the French club could make a run at Ronaldo next summer when he does become a free agent. Kylian Mbappe may leave for Real Madrid, with Paris eyeing Cristiano as his replacement.

Ronaldo was clearly disappointed when the Old Lady finished in fourth spot last term in Serie A, barely scratching into the Champions League. But, with Allegri back at the helm after Andrea Pirlo's failed stint in charge, the hope is that Cristiano Ronaldo can lead them to another Scudetto and hopefully, deep into Europe as well.

There's definitely a good chance that Ronaldo leaves Turin in 2022 but for now, he's staying put. The rumors were ultimately not true.
