Juventus have added a key player ahead of the 2021/22 Serie A campaign. After months of speculation, the club has finally secured the signature of Sassuolo and Italy star Manuel Locatelli on a €35 million deal, per Fabrizio Romano:

Locatelli was one of the standout players for the Italians at Euro 2020 as they lifted the ultimate prize. His IQ and technical abilities in the middle of the pitch will surely give Juventus more solidity in front of their backline. Locatelli's more than capable of playing as a box-to-box midfielder as well, though, evident by his two goals for Italy this summer.

Juventus are looking to bounce back this term after finishing in fourth spot in 2020/21 as Inter Milan cruised to the Scudetto. They've been relatively quiet in the summer window, but the acquisition of Locatelli will definitely be key. Massimiliano Allegri is now back in charge in Turin after Andrea Pirlo's failed stint with the Italian giants.

Locatelli bagged four goals and supplied two assists last season for Sassuolo as the club finished within the top half of the table. They will absolutely miss their versatile asset, but after his tremendous showing this summer, the 23-year-old deserves to take the next step with a bigger club.
