Paul Pogba's tenure at Manchester United is officially coming to a close, with the star midfielder expected to leave the club this summer. After six seasons in Manchester, during which United failed to win a single Premier League title, Pogba is reportedly set to return to Juventus on a free transfer. According to Fabrizio Romano, Pogba's move to Juventus is “considered a matter of final details,” and is expected to be finalized in the coming days.

Pogba's agents are said to be putting the final touches on Pogba's new contract at Juventus which is expected to pay him almost $10 million per season. He'll make his return to Serie A, where he won four consecutive championships in Italy's top flight in four seasons from 2013-16.

Pogba's return to Manchester United in 2016 was one of the biggest transfer fees in soccer history. United forked over $115 million to Juventus to bring the French midfielder back to Old Trafford, where he had previously failed to crack the first team just four years earlier.

Re-signing him from Juventus was expected to signal a major turning point for the club and put an end to its struggles, but that didn't end up being the case. The club failed to win a single major trophy with Pogba in town, despite surrounding the midfielder with elite talent including the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, and many more star players.

Throughout his six-year stint with the Red Devils, Pogba scored a total of 29 goals and added 38 assists, most of which came during his first three seasons. While other clubs had expressed interest in Pogba, it never truly felt as if another team was in the running once Juventus made its interest clear.
