The Kansas City Chiefs have one of the most prolific offenses in the entire NFL. It really is no surprise that they have made it to the Super Bowl on the back of that unit.

Kansas City squares off with the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54, a result of the offense coming up big so far. However, the 49ers are one of the best defensive teams in the entire NFL. So it looks like we'll have a battle on our hands.

Will it be the super-powered offense, or the shutdown defense that takes control? Here are three bold predictions for the Kansas City offense in Super Bowl 54.

Jump Out to a Hot Start

The 49ers have been known to shut down opponents. Just look what they did to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game. By halftime San Francisco was up 27-0.

The Packers attempted a comeback in the second half, but were too far behind at that point.

Kansas City is probably wary about falling into the same issue. San Francisco doesn't have a great offense. But if the defense prevents the Chiefs from moving down the field, they could pounce.

Then by the time the Chiefs get rolling, it's too late. That's not going to happen though. Kansas City has too much star power on offense. They'll not only keep from being shut down, they'll come out of the gate firing on all cylinders.

This will prevent the 49ers from playing their game, and give the Chiefs a major advantage early on.

Patrick Mahomes Goes Primetime

Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in football. It's getting really hard to dispute that. In case you still don't want to admit it though, Mahomes is going to not really give you much of a choice.

What's the best way to win people over? Having a big game in primetime. Is there anything more “primetime” than the Super Bowl?

Mahomes is going to absolutely light it up. He'll rack up passing yards, and maybe pick up some more rushing yards to remind everyone he can move too.

The quarterback will also throw a few touchdowns and keep the turnovers to a bare minimum. He will show up big, helping lead the Kansas City offense. And in turn, he will make believers out of even the most serious of doubters.

At Least One 40-plus Yard Touchdown

Tyreek Hill, Chiefs, Titans

Kansas City has all types of big play potential. They have Mahomes with his cannon arm. They have Tyreek Hill, the fastest man in football. They also have Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman and receiver, and uber-athletic tight end Travis Kelce.

Even running back Damien Williams has shown he can burn a defense at any given time. There is seriously no let up with this team.

All this talent and athleticism leads itself to a lot of plays. And don't expect the Super Bowl to be any different.

This will manifest itself in a big play. Not just any big play though, a big play that results in a touchdown.

It will likely come off the arm of Mahomes, but in some way, shape or form the Chiefs will pick up a big 40-plus yard touchdown. That's a momentum shifter right there. So be on the lookout for Kansas City to look to connect deep on multiple occasions throughout Super Bowl 54.
