Game Director Masahiro Sakurai in his final SSBU presentation revealed the final Super Smash Brothers Ultimate fighter for Nintendo's iconic fighting game. It was revealed that the 89th fighter who will complete SSBU‘s roster will be Sora of Kingdom Hearts. This does not come as a huge surprise, especially since Sora has always been a fan-favorite request from Sakurai. Now, fans of Kingdom Hearts will finally get to play as Sora and beat up Sephiroth all over again, this time in Smash.

However, Sakurai's surprises didn't end there. Their partnership with SQUARE ENIX and Disney went further than Sora appearing as SSBU‘s final fighter. Sakurai then revealed that the Kingdom Hearts complete trilogy will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch through cloud gaming. However, Nintendo has not revealed yet when the game will be coming on the platform. The package will include Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 + II.5 ReMIXKingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III. While many would groan at the game's cloud-based nature, many would still appreciate the magic of getting to play Kingdom Hearts III on the go. You'd also just have to be a master of sorcery to keep a strong enough internet connection for that.
