The Sacramento Kings may have failed to make the playoffs anew, but they have made major strides this season that convince a lot of their fans that they will become one of the league's elite teams next season. Their young core consists of De'Aaron Fox, Buddy Hield, and Bogdan Bogdanovic; three players who've shown a ton of improvement next season. They also recently hired a new coach in Luke Walton, and all that's left to do now is for them to add some solid pieces this summer and then start competing.

In a recent episode of Uninterrupted, a podcast hosted by Fox and former Kings guard Doug Christie, the former said that the Kings are bound for a breakout season, adding that their potential as a team will have no ceiling.

“I think the younger guys took a big step this year. But I think the step everyone took together this year was crazy, because of how good people think we could be and how much better we thought we should have been.

“Next season, the sky is the limit.”

Fox made great points with his statement about the younger guys on the team taking major leaps. He himself is a candidate to win Most Improved Player of the Year, while Hield is slowly becoming one of the best 3-point shooters in the league.

With those two leading the way, the Kings indeed have a bright future. If they make the right moves in free agency and the draft, they might just be able to compete in the postseason next year.

And that's just the first step. Sacramento still has a long way to go, but their fans are willing to be patient, as long as the end result is the team hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy in the near future.
