Buddy Hield found a helping hand in the form of a fellow Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Martin.

Per Sam Amick of The Athletic, the former NBA player donated $10,000 in Hield's efforts to help out his home country of The Bahamas, which was recently struck by the catastrophic Hurrican Dorian. Martin, likewise, sung praises to Hield for his efforts.

A category 5 hurricane devastated the Bahamas this past week, leaving extensive damage throughout the country, including some unfortunate fatalities. The islands of the Grand Bahamas, where the Kings guard was born and raised, and Abaco suffered the most devastation.

The death toll has reportedly risen, per CNN, and around 70,000 were left homeless by the unforgiving destructive winds and rainfall.

Aside from Martin, Atlanta Hawks sophomore guard Trae Young also contributed $25,000 in the bag. The NBPA is going to help out as well as they look to match Young's donation.

Earlier this week, Hield called on the general public on social media to help out the relief efforts in the Bahamas. The former no. 6 pick created a Go Fund Me campaign and is looking to raise $1-million to provide basic necessities for the calamity-stricken families. Likewise, Hield donated $100,000 himself to kickstart the cause.

Kudos to the Bahamas native for using his voice and his reach to help raise awareness to the damage that was done to home country.

As for Buddy Hield, continue doing what you do!
