The Sacramento Kings have had a very impressive season and were actually in playoff contention for much of the year. A large part of that has been due to the play of big man Willie Cauley-Stein, who is averaging 12.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 steals over 27.5 minutes per game while shooting 54.9 percent from the floor.

So, does Cauley-Stein have any goals for the remainder of the 2018-19 campaign? Yeah; to stay healthy:

“Don’t get hurt,” Cauley-Stein said, according to Jason Jones of The Athletic. “That’s it. Don’t get hurt.”

The 25-year-old then doubled down on that statement:

“Get ready to get better,” Cauley-Stein said. “Don’t get hurt. Go out there and play hard, play like you play and stay healthy.”

Cauley-Stein is up for a new contract this summer, as he will hit restricted free agency and will surely have some other suitors ready to woo him. The Kings can match any offer he receives, but with young bigs like Marvin Bagley and Harry Giles also on the rise, you have to wonder just how much money Sacramento will be willing to commit to Cauley-Stein.

The University of Kentucky product does not know what to expect this offseason and is merely playing it by ear:

“Finish this season out on a good, positive note and see where the chips fall,” Cauley-Stein said. “See who’s messing with me, maybe (the Kings are) messing with me, I don’t know. I don’t really know how this stuff goes.”

Cauley-Stein doesn't just want a big payday, but he also wants to be somewhere where his talents will be maximized:

“It’s where do I go that’s gonna get maxed out?” Cauley-Stein said. “Who is going to believe in my full potential and allow me to play to my full potential. That’s really all I’m thinking. I want to go to a situation where they believe in me, they want me to do this, they want me to get better and they want me to continue to elevate my game. That’s really where I’m at.”

It's going to be an interesting offseason for the Kentucky alum. He's still young and there's probably going to be a team willing to roll the dice and pony up for his services.
