It’s been two years since the Sacramento Kings reeled in Willie Cauley-Stein from the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft, but to this day, he’s looked nothing more than a poor man’s version of Tyson Chandler. He’s just 24, however, so there’s plenty of room left for the Kentucky product to elevate his game.

Cauley-Stein is even doing extra work this offseason to add more to his skill set that is so far defined mostly by his great rebounding and rim protection. In a number of videos posted by Cauley-Stein on his Instagram account, we could see the seven-footer polishing up on some offensive moves he’s learned over the summer such as breaking a defender by dribbling and shooting jumpers.

Combined with his imposing physical attributes, a better offense would make Cauley-Stein a force to reckon with on both ends of the floor. In two seasons in the league, he’s put up career averages of 8.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks per contest.

Let these videos also serve as a message to Golden State Warriors center JaVale McGee that he’s not the only big man trying to incorporate guard skills into his game.
