JaVale McGee re-signed with the reigning champion Golden State Warriors this offseason, and the big man is hard at work getting ready for the Dubs’ upcoming title defense.

McGee recently posted a video of one of his workouts on Twitter, and by the way he was stroking those threes, it looks as if he's put a lot of time and work on his outside shot.

McGee’s effectiveness last season was one of the more surprising aspects of the Warriors’ title-winning run. He averaged an impressive 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks per 36 minutes in limited playing time off the bench, and had the highest net rating on the team whenever he was on the floor.

However, his effectiveness was due in large part to him sticking to a specific role and doing it well. While his outside shooting certainly looks impressive, it’s highly unlikely that head coach Steve Kerr will suddenly loosen the reins and allow McGee to become a seven-foot Splash Brother this upcoming season.

After all, the Warriors already have one of those, and his name is Kevin Durant.
