For Sacramento Kings rookie guard De’Aaron Fox, it sucks to be a football fan this Sunday because that meant he had to watch Super Bowl LII between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots at a very inconvenient time.

The Kings are in the middle of a four-game homestand in Sacramento, so Fox probably had to make some minor adjustments to his daily routine in order to catch the Super Bowl on TV.

De’Aaron Fox, who was selected fifth overall by the Kings in last year's NBA Draft, does not seem to have any rooting interest in the game, but like most Americans, watched the Super Bowl since it's an annual tradition practiced by even the most casual sports fans.

The Eagles won the game, 41-33, on the strength of quarterback Nick Foles’ impressive performance. Foles threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns on 28-of-43 completions. The Patriots, meanwhile, failed to defend the title they won a year ago when they engineered a historic come-from-behind win in Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons. Despite the loss, Pats quarterback set a new record for most passing yards in a Super Bowl contest by racking up 505 passing yards to go with three touchdowns against zero interceptions.

As for Fox and the Kings, they will look to put an end to their two-game skid, when they take on the visiting Chicago Bulls at Golden 1 Center this Monday.

So far this season, the 20-year-old court general out of Kentucky is averaging 11.2 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game in his first year in the NBA.
