Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox got blown by Minnesota Timberwolves guard Derrick Rose twice, but he did not give up on both of those plays. On Friday night, he used those instances to make a name for himself.

Fox and the Kings put on a show as they defeated the Wolves, 121-110. Sacramento moved to a surprising 7-4 record after the victory.

Despite shooing 3-for-7 from the floor, Fox had 16 points, 10 assists, four rebounds, two blocks and one steal. He affected the game is so many ways despite not having his best game offensively.

For Rose, he still managed to have a pretty good game. He finished with 21 points, six rebounds, five assists and one steal. He shot 7-for-16 from the floor and 3-for-6 from three.

For Fox, he is coming off an okay rookie season. But he is having a very impressive sophomore season. Players in their second years usually hit a wall, but it has not hit Fox yet. Fox is averaging 18.5 points, 7.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks per game.

There are many players who could be up for most improved player of the year, or be in consideration. If the Kings continue to play well, he could be in that conversation.

With the Kings now off to a 7-4 start, the only way for them now is to go up. They've had excellent play from everyone involved.

Fox and the Kings are here and are here to stay.
