Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is playing some of the best football of his career and now heads into a matchup against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that has been less than stellar.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns on Monday night against the Chiefs.

So will Cousins be able to replicate what Rodgers did or will he come back down to earth and look like the Cousins that frustrated Vikings fans for so long? Let's break down three bold predictions for Cousins.

3. Completes at least 75 percent of his throws

Cousins has been a very accurate passer this year, completing 72.1 percent of his passes and is coming off a game against the Washington Redskins where he went 23-26. In four of his last five games, he completed 75 percent or better of his throws and he should be to get that job done in this one as well.

Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski has done a really good job of running plays that get receivers open, which makes Cousins' job really easy. Cousins has a lot of confidence right now, and he is going to show it on Sunday afternoon.

2. Has two touchdown passes over 40 yards

Stat-wise, the Chiefs actually haven't been that bad against the pass, giving up 232 yards per game through the air which is 11th in the NFL.

The one place they have really struggled is against the run where they rank 30th in the league giving up 145 yards per game on the ground. In this game, the Vikings should try to attack that early with Dalvin Cook and he is going to run wild. The Chiefs are going to be forced to stack the box to try and slow down Cook, which is going to open up the play-action pass for some deep throws. Look for Cousins to hit a couple of deep throws for a couple of touchdowns. Don't be surprised if both of those passes go to Stefon Diggs.

1. Cousins keeps the Vikings in the game

I am not ready to predict that the Vikings will win this game, not knowing who is starting at quarterback, but if it's Matt Moore, Cousins is going to lead the team to victory.

If Patrick Mahomes starts, I still think Cousins will do enough to keep this game close and give them a chance late to win the game. If Mahomes starts, it will probably come down to whether the Vikings' defense can make a stop late to come away with a victory.
