The New York Knicks have high expectations for their first-round draft pick, Kevin Knox, but that doesn't mean anything is just going to be handed to him. Coach David Fizdale knows how important building his culture is, and he doesn't want to just give out playing time to anyone, without them earning it.

“I’m not handing out nothing. Everything will be earned. We’re going to have a super young team. Why disrupt the culture by handing something to a kid? Make him earn everything along the way.”

Knox is a stretch forward that can play either the three or four in the NBA, but the Knicks are probably going to have to decide which one they would like him to focus on. He has a ton of talent, but sometimes it's hard to tell which position he will play on.

If he is going to play the three he needs to become a little better shooter, and if he is going to play the power forward he is going to need to bulk up. He might be more athletic than some of the power forwards in the league, but if he doesn't get stronger he is going to be taken by some of the stronger big men.

The Knicks are going to be really young this upcoming season especially if Kristaps Porzingis misses some or all of the season. These two guys are both polarizing guys who can be the future of New York, and help bring them back to prominence in the Eastern Conference.

David Fizdale should also play a large role in this.
