New York Knicks second-year man Frank Ntilikina is slowly gaining the trust of head coach David Fizdale and might be inserted back into the line up in the coming games.

Per Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic, Fizdale shared that he'll insert the 20-year-old into the lineup more. He noted that given Ntilikina's versatility, he can play several positions.

To recall, Frank Ntilikina was benched for three games which — a strategy used by David Fizdale to develop his players. However, it attracted a bit of controversy as Ntilikina was playing some 22.8 minutes per game prior to sitting out in the three games.

Some say that the Knicks have given up on the former eighth overall pick after a relatively-mediocre season thus far, including several games where he went scoreless. Per Kevin Kernan of the New York Post, Ntilikina shared what he learned from being benched all of a sudden:

“Work hard, not back down and not quit. And yeah, just showing character.”

Now, it seems that Frank Ntilikina is safely back into the rotation. However, time can only tell if he'll stay there in the long run. After all, it's a rebuilding season for the Knicks. David Fizdale might need a few more games to figure the best possible line up for him.
