Last month, veteran forward Michael Beasley made the decision to sign a one-year, $2.1 million deal to join the New York Knicks.

According to Tommy Beer of Basketballinsiders.com, he has already made an effort to get acclimated with the organization by working with Carmelo Anthony's trainer.

The choice to work out with Anthony's trainer could help provide him with more pointers on what he can do to best utilize himself with the Knicks. It may also give insight on what has helped his new teammate become an effective scorer in the league.

Beasley has bounced around the league throughout his first nine years in the NBA including a few stints overseas. He is coming off a productive 2016-17 season with the Milwaukee Bucks despite playing in limited minutes off the bench averaging 9.4 points on career-highs of 53.2 percent from the field and 41.9 percent from 3-point range along with 3.4 rebounds per contest.

This includes hitting double figures 25 times while notching three 20-point performances last season. The 28-year-old could be in store for a significant role off the bench as one of the primary scoring options. Beasley could quickly prove to be one of the better signings this offseason given the relatively inexpensive deal that he has inked with New York.
