With the slow start he’s had so far to his NBA career, New York Knicks rookie Frank Ntilikina has received mixed reactions about his performances. While many find his development slow, that is not the case with his fellow Frenchman, Tony Parker, who believes he will be successful in the league.

The San Antonio Spurs point guard made it known, via Marc Berman of the New York Post, that he thinks Ntilikina has the “right stuff” and just needs fans in The Big Apple to be more patient with him especially as he has already shown glimpses of his true potential during some stretches this season.

In the 31 games he's played in so far, Ntilikina is producing 5.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.3 steals in 20.8 minutes per game. The numbers are decent but he is still struggling to understand his role with the Knicks and has been averaging close to two turnovers per contest.

The New York faithful understandably expects a lot from the 19-year-old rookie as he was selected eighth overall during last June's draft. If they'll give him more patience, it could work wonders for him to live up to expectations and become the point guard the Knicks have long been waiting for.
