New York Knicks big man Enes Kanter has established himself as one of the most prominent figures of the summer. This time around, Kanter shared a video of his unofficial inauguration of rookie teammate Kevin Knox.

The one-minute clip shared by Kanter himself via Twitter starts with the 6-foot-11 center excitedly entering a private function room of what appears to be a Japanese restaurant. As we would expect nothing less from the NBA's resident troll, some hilarity ensued shortly after.

Knox appeared to be fully in character as he had a complete get-up, with a tall chef's hat to match. The 19-year-old did hold his own behind the tepanyaki grill, and was able to serve up his guests with a number of enticing entrees — if you may call it that.

Rookie initiations have become a customary practice in the NBA. Admittedly, Knox's chore pales in comparison to what other veterans have put their rookies through. Then again, this is Kanter we're talking about here, so Knox is probably not going to get off that easy.

The Knicks used their ninth overall pick in this year's draft on the former Kentucky standout. Supporters were not exactly in a festive mood when they heard his name called, as most were hoping that the team would instead go for Michael Porter Jr.

Although a bit of a bad start for Knox, this is nothing new for the Knicks and their supporters. Two years ago, Kristaps Porzingis was also booed by the fans when the team picked him fourth overall in the 2016 Draft. We all know how that turned out, so in that respect, Knox is in pretty good company.
