It's hard to be a New York Knicks fan at the moment. If there was a visual representation for their struggles this season, it'd be Mitchell Robinson's limping dunk during their narrow defeat to the Charlotte Hornets.

It was a sad sight to see: the big man was obviously hurt but still tried to make the play.

It was painful to watch him labor to get to the rim, but it's admirable how Robinson did not give up on the play and gave Knicks fans more reason to cheer for him this season.

Of course, the blame is also on the Hornets defense for leaving him open. Just because a man is limping doesn't mean that they will lax and leave him be.

It's quite a fitting metaphor for how the Knicks are performing, as they still are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. While they got temporary highs by beating Kristaps Porzingis and the Dallas Mavericks twice this season, they are still in no way closer to finishing their rebuild.
