When Kobe Bryant speaks, Lakers fans listen.

Bryant recently weighed in on new Lakers head coach Luke Walton, and what he thinks the former Warriors assistant could bring to the franchise.

Via TWCSports.net:

He’s gonna have them play the game the right way. He’s gonna have the foundation of the team, it’s gonna be a championship foundation it’s not gonna be isolation ball. There’s gonna be a lot of ball movement, but ball movement with purpose so the players are gonna understand why they’re moving the ball in certain situations, which then makes you a very dangerous team because now you have players on the floor who can think on the fly and think together.

That's pretty high praise coming from Kobe Bryant.

Walton should definitely be an upgrade as he comes in to replace Byron Scott, who coached the past two seasons in L.A. including last year's franchise-worst 17-65 team. Scott was so puzzling at times, it seemed impossible to think that the Lakers weren't clearly tanking.

Walton had some head coaching experience so to speak when he acted as the Warriors head coach for much of last season while Steve Kerr was injured. The Warriors actually had a better record with Walton as the interim head coach than after Kerr returned.

Walton's experience with Golden State, and as a player for the Lakers under Phil Jackson should go a long way in helping him become at least an upgrade as the new head coach of the Lakers next season, and prove Bryant's statements correct.
