Alex Caruso made his return to the Staples Center on Monday night for the first time since joining the Chicago Bulls as a free agent during the offseason. The 27-year-old is a fan-favorite among Los Angeles Lakers fans, which is why it isn't surprising that they came up with a touching tribute video for Caruso as he checked into the game.

The Lakers paid tribute to one of the most well-loved figures this team has ever had in recent years and it made for quite an endearing moment for both Caruso and the fans (h/t SportsCenter on Twitter):

The video was two minutes long and it prompted a standing ovation from the crowd in Staples Center the moment it ended. Caruso himself looked a bit emotional as he raised his arm to thank the fans in attendance:

LeBron James even took the court to give Caruso a big warm hug as the former Lakers guard approached the Lakers bench.

Much has been made about the Lakers opting to let Caruso walk away in free agency during the offseason and how a lot of people think that this decision has come back to haunt them. Nevertheless, it is clear that there is nothing but love between the Carushow and his former team.
