Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis knows how big his buzzer-beater in Sunday night's thrilling win was.

Davis knocked down three of his 31 points when he caught the ball in three-point land with just two seconds to go to push Los Angeles to a huge Game 2 win over the Denver Nuggets. Davis was huge all-evening long for the purple and gold as he made crucial plays down the stretch to keep the Nuggets at bay.

The seven-time All-Star knows though that his last-second shot was the biggest play not just in Game 2, but in his NBA career so far, per Ben Golliver of The Washington Post.

“It’s for sure the biggest shot of my career. When I left (New Orleans) I just wanted to compete for a championship. I know moments like this come with it. Especially being in LA, the biggest market in basketball.”

Davis was the biggest factor on Sunday as the Lakers fought through a late run from Nikola Jokic and the rest of the Nuggets. It was Jokic and Davis going head-to-head in the final minute of the game but AD had all the answers for Jokic in Game 2. Jokic, who finished with 30 points, six rebounds, and nine assists, was a few milliseconds late to challenge Davis' game-winner which gave “The Brow” just enough room to knock down the trifecta.

Though Davis has had his fair share of game-winners throughout his eight-year career in the league, Sunday's epic buzzer-beater is up there as one of the most important ones in his young career. This is Davis' first Conference Finals appearance and with his crazy 23-footer, he's now just two wins away from booking a trip to his first-ever NBA Finals.
