Right after hitting the game-winning shot in Game 2 against the Denver Nuggets, Anthony Davis admitted that the play was actually meant for LeBron James.

Davis shared that they drew up a play to set up LeBron James for the game-winning shot. However, Davis said that he wanted to take the shot. He wants those big-time plays for his legacy.

Below is the play which worked to perfection. Notice how James — who set the screen for Anthony Davis — attracted two players, giving Davis a slight yet clean look at the ring. While Nikola Jokic was quick to react and contest the shot, Davis too focused and determined to win.

The Lakers are now up 2-0 thanks to Davis' heroics. The Nuggets gave them a worthy fight, proving that no lead is safe. But the Lakers just have the clutch gene in them.
