The Los Angeles Lakers were given a proper scare in Game 5 on Friday against the Miami Heat, with Anthony Davis appearing to have sustained a significant ankle injury that kept him on the floor for a a couple of minutes.

As it turns out, however, it was nothing but a minor tweak, and according to Davis himself, he should be good to go for Game 6:

“I’ll be fine Sunday,” Davis said, via Mark Medina of USA TODAY.

When asked about the severity of the injury, Davis expressed how he was able to just shake it off during the game:

“It just wore off and got back to normal,” he said. “I kept moving around and tried not to sit down and get the adrenaline going. I was able to keep going and keep playing.”

That's great news for the Lakers, who will absolutely need Davis to suit up for a pivotal Game 6 contest on Sunday. That isn't a certainty at this point, however, with his injury potentially swelling up in the morning. Nonetheless, with the series on the line, only a significant injury will keep Davis out of action for Game 6. L.A. will have to win that one.

On Friday, Davis finished with 28 points on 9-of-15 shooting, along with 12 boards, three assists, three steals, and three blocks. The All-Star big man also connected on two triples, while going 8-of-8 from the charity stripe. Despite the injury scare, he was able to log a team-high 42 minutes of action.
