On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers (11-19) will be without one of their young rising stars in forward Brandon Ingram when they host the Portland Trail Blazers (16-16) at Staples Center.

According to a tweet today from Lakers sideline reporter Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet, Ingram will be inactive tonight against the Blazers with issues to both of his quads.

This is quite unfortunate for the Lakers, who have been playing the league's most elite team's down to the wire over the last week. A win at home against the Blazers is certainly within reach, but it will be more difficult without the services of Ingram.

The Lakers, who stormed back to eventually take the lead against the Golden State Warriors last night, lost their third close game to the Warriors in less than a month when they fell 113-106 at Oracle Arena.

Ingram, who was drafted second overall in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Lakers, continues to develop right in front of our eyes. In 3o starts this year for the Lakers without missing a single game, Ingram continues to be one of Los Angeles' best players. As the Lakers' second-leading scorer this year, Ingram is currently averaging 16.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game in 34.8 minutes of action per contest.
