Carmelo Anthony is no stranger to outside noise. The Los Angeles Lakers veteran was the franchise player of the New York Knicks for more than half a decade – the man knows how to deal with scrutiny.

After their 116-105 win over the Orlando Magic on Friday night, Melo was asked during the postgame press conference about the “chaotic” season the Lakers have had thus far and how they've dealt with it internally.

“I understand the chaos that you're talking about, but we try not to pay attention to the chaos. It is what it is. People are going to talk. Me personally, I don't really know what people are saying. I try to stay away from it. That's how I cope with it,” said Carmelo Anthony on the Lakers hearing outside noise.

“But for the most part, I think we do a great job of just staying together in that locker room. That's what's important. We never waver. We never lose our confidence. We talk things out. If something is going on, we bring it to the forefront and we address it. If somebody has something to say, we give them the floor to say that.”

The outside chatter is as loud as it gets for such a high-profile Lakers roster with championship expectations. But Carmelo Anthony is adamant that the chaotic noise surrounding the team isn't affecting the players as much as fans and pundits think it is.

“As far as the way we deal with how we're playing, or the games that we're losing that we're not supposed to be losing – it's part of the game. We control that, nobody else. … Our confidence level has not wavered as this point,” claimed the Lakers star.

The Lakers currently own a 23-23 record and sit at the 7th spot in the Western Conference. Carmelo Anthony and co. still have half the season to change the narrative surrounding the team.
