The battle of Los Angeles will take place on Sunday as the LA Clippers will host the Los Angeles Lakers. Both teams will get an opportunity to showcase their revamped rosters following the NBA trade deadline. Recently, Lakers’ sharp-shooter Danny Green revealed how his team will try to stop superstar Kawhi Leonard on Sunday.

“We all know his strengths,” Lakers guard, Danny Green, Leonard’s former Raptors teammate told Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson of Heavy.

“We all know what he can do. Try to limit him as much as possible to not let him get to his spots and get comfortable in his rhythm. Do that and offensively make him work, put him in some screen-and-rolls out on the floor, space and have some good movement.”

Green does have some perspective on how Leonard plays since they were teammates for eight seasons. However, Green and the Lakers have struggled to guard Leonard this season.

Leonard has played phenomenal against the Lakers this season averaging 32.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in 34.7 minutes per game. The reigning Finals MVP is also shooting 55.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range against the Lakers this season.

Nonetheless, the Lakers are currently the first seed in the Western Conference with a record of 47-13. However, the Clippers are only five games behind the Lakers, boasting a record of 42-19.  The Clippers have been playing some of their best basketball of the season lately, winning their past five games with a fully healthy roster.

Sunday's showdown will be one of the most anticipated matchups of the season.
