Dwight Howard is back with the Los Angeles Lakers. This time, however, a different Dwight is returning to LA.

The eight-time All-Star had multiple meetings and workouts with the Purple and Gold, and he reportedly told team officials and players that he's already a changed man.

One of the things Howard did to prove the Lakers that he's changed is to lose weight. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Dwight dropped 25 pounds before working out for LA. Howard also understands that he's already hit rock-bottom and this could potentially his last shot in the NBA, so he wants to make sure that he does everything right.

The Lakers are expected to give Howard a limited role, which means it is possible that Anthony Davis and JaVale McGee will share a lot of minutes at the center position. However, it's possible for him to see his minutes and role increase should he prove that he can still contribute significantly.

It is worth noting that a healthy Dwight Howard can still produce double-doubles on a nightly basis. Even at age 33, he remains capable of rebounding and protecting the rim at an elite level.

Now, Howard has an opportunity to compete for a championship once again, and he vowed to make the best of the second chance he got.
