Dwight Howard's second run with the Los Angeles Lakers was going well prior to play being suspended because of the coronavirus.

Howard was averaging 7.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.2 blocks for the Lakers in 19.2 minutes per game off the bench. He was loved by the fans again after being hated by them following his exit from the Lakers back in the offseason of 2013.

Howard was doing an Instagram live session with a fan on Thursday who asked the Lakers center how did he recover from his fall in 2012, which was Dwight's first season with the Lakers.

The eight-time All-Star responded by saying, “What fall did I have?”

Howard used to be a superstar in the NBA. Now, he's coming off the bench, albeit for the Lakers.

That's probably the “fall” this fan is referring to, but he could have worded it better. However, Howard is not really interested in talking about topics he's usually discussing with reporters.

Before the season got suspended, Howard and the Lakers had the best record in the Western Conference standings. Los Angeles was an impressive 49-14.

It's been hard for Howard to recapture his old form. We have to remember the three-time Defensive Player of the Year has had multiple back surgeries during his playing career.

He's no longer a star, but Howard was playing his role perfectly with the Lakers prior to play being suspended. We should commend him for swallowing his ego, which isn't easy for a lot of guys to do.
