LeBron James stirred up the media during All-Star Weekend in Cleveland with some of his comments. The Los Angeles Lakers star said that he was open to a reunion with the Cavs at some point before he retires. This obviously didn't sit well with some LA fans, who were already dealing with a terrible season.

However, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel wasn't too worried with LeBron James' comments. Speaking to reporters after practice, Vogel said that James' comments didn't bother him, calling it “noise.” (via Sports Illustrated)

“I learned to let the noise be noise… I enjoyed the break with my family. That’s just noise.”

One of the struggles of coaching a star of LeBron's magnitude is the constant media attention on him. With every comment from James' being scrutinized, it can be hard for a coach to get his team to be focused. However, it seems like Vogel has done a great job ignoring the media's constant speculation around the Lakers star.

Still, there's a lot of work left to be done for the Lakers this season. Vogel's squad sit at ninth place in the Western Conference, but their standings do not reflect the struggles of the team. They were hyped up to be a title contender this season, but terrible roster fits and injury woes have all but derailed the 2021 – 22 season.

There's hope on the horizon, though. A team as talented as the Lakers should have no problem coming back from a deficit like this. If Russell Westbrook can channel his classic second half of the season form, LA has a fighting chance of making serious noise in the playoffs. If they play their cards right, they may even make the Finals.
