New Orleans Pelicans superstar power forward Anthony Davis signed with agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports after parting ways with his longtime agent, and many began to speculate the move means Davis is looking to leave the Pelicans and somehow join the Los Angeles Lakers.

Paul, of course, represents Lakers star LeBron James. Once the news broke Davis signed with Paul, Pelicans fans began to worry that Davis was going to leave New Orleans and form a superteam with LeBron in L.A. Paul heard the rumors and downplayed them, saying just because Davis switched agents doesn't indicate he's looking to change teams.

Former NBA player and current ESPN analyst Jalen Rose, however, disagrees and is predicting Davis will be a Laker next season.

“I am predicting that Anthony Davis ends up in Los Angeles with LeBron James (next season) and they will be another dynamic duo trying to put together a squad to take down, potentially, the Golden State Warriors,” said Jalen Rose.

Back in January, Rose said the relationship between the San Antonio Spurs and star Kawhi Leonard was fractured, and pretty much no one believed him. Fast forward to today, and Rose looks like the smartest guy on the planet, as he was the first person to report Leonard wouldn’t play for the Spurs again. Will Rose be two-for-two with his bold predictions? Only time will tell.

Anthony Davis has two years and $52 million left on his contract with the Pelicans, plus a $29 million player option for the 2020-21 season. The five-time All-Star is eligible for a supermax contract worth over $230 million beginning in 2020.

The Pelicans have given no indication they are interested in trading Davis. It appears the only way they would is if Davis requests a trade or tells the front office he won't re-sign with New Orleans when he becomes a free agent.

Since being drafted No. 1 overall by the Pelicans in the 2012 draft, Davis has only advanced to the second round of the playoffs once. That was last season, when New Orleans swept the Portland Trail Blazers. Davis was a monster in the series, averaging 33.0 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.8 blocks per game.
