The offseason featured a bevy of shocking signings and trades that completely altered the landscape of the NBA, and when the Los Angeles Lakers' veteran pickup Jared Dudley was asked which newly-formed pairing would be the toughest, he had no choice but to name two.

Not surprisingly, both duos play in the Western Conference – one of which share the same arena, at least for now. That said, the Lakers forward admitted that among the revamped rosters, these teams' star combinations give them the most willies.

The 34-year-old however, implied that the Los Angeles Clippers' one-two punch of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George is still the toughest among the two dynamic duos he mentioned. While the Houston Rockets' James Harden and Russell Westbrook are comprised of two former Most Valuable Player winners of recent years, the pair never really came close to powering their respective teams to a title. Leonard, on the other hand, was fresh off a championship win with the Toronto Raptors (marking his second title) while Paul George was an MVP contender last season. They also are considered to be fearsome two-way threats capable of shutting down their defensive assignments while Harden and Westbrook have severe question marks on that end.

It's also interesting to note that the Lakers are already being quizzed on potential stumbling blocks considering that they haven't been to the playoffs since 2013, even with the vaunted LeBron James and his postseason streak moving over last season. But with the acquisition of superstar Anthony Davis and the addition of some grizzled playoff veterans like Danny Green and Dwight Howard, the purple and gold franchise expects to finally end the drought in 2019-20.
