Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is now in his 17th season. He turns 35 years old in December. And yet, he is still one of the best players in the world.

James' longevity is simply incredible, and on Friday, he likened himself to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady when it comes to how long and productive his career has been:

“Not really. Not the way I feel right now,” James said when asked whether or not he ever thinks about how the end of his NBA career will look, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “Me and Tom Brady are one in the same. We’re going to play until we can’t walk no more.”

Through 11 games this season, James is averaging 23.9 points, 11.1 assists, eight rebounds and 1.1 steals over 34.5 minutes per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the floor, 30.4 percent from three-point range and 68.6 percent from the free-throw line.

James is now in his second season with the Lakers.

He initially arrived in Los Angeles during the summer of 2018, but his first year with the club was an unmitigated disaster, as James suffered a groin injury that kept him out for a month and limited him to just 55 games.

Los Angeles went on to tally just 37 wins, missing the playoffs for the sixth straight season. It also marked the first time a LeBron-led team missed the playoffs since his second season with the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2005.

But now, with Anthony Davis as a teammate, James seems primed for another deep playoff run.

The Lakers are 9-2 thus far.
