There's no denying that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will go down in history as one of the greatest players to have ever played the sport. Love him or hate him, this is an indisputable fact.

It just so happens, however, Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors, who is LeBron's co-star in the film Space Jam: A New Legacy, does not seem to completely agree with this notion. So much so, that the Dubs star revealed how he believes one particular cartoon character is going to run circles over James in a game of 1-on-1:

“LeBron is Mr. triple-double threat,” Thompson responded when asked who he thinks would win in a game between LeBron and Looney Tunes icon Bugs Bunny, via Diamond Leung of The Athletic. “He could do it on both sides of the ball. But Bugs Bunny has been doing it for a lot longer, maybe like 80 to 100 years now. LeBron's only been doing it professionally since what, '03?”

According to Thompson, Bugs' experience is what's going to give him the edge over the great LeBron James. Being on the set throughout the production of the highly-anticipated animated film, Klay was a first-hand witness (somewhat) of the elite skillset of Bugs Bunny. In this respect, Thompson, who plays the character Wet-Fire in the movie, could be considered as an authority in this matter.

This is all clearly in good fun, though, as Thompson jokingly teased his Space Jam co-star. Space Jam: A New Legacy is set to release on July 16.
