The NBA will allow players to travel out of their team markets starting on Monday, and it has garnered different reactions from players. For one, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James chose to react to the news on a lighter tone.

On Twitter, the Lakers forward joked that he will bring his family to the fictional country of Wakanda to protect themselves from the coronavirus pandemic.

To be fair, Wakanda probably has a cure to the disease already, thanks to being the most technologically advanced nation in the world — at least in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

On a more serious note, Shams Charania of The Athletic revealed what players need to do before they are allowed to go out of their cities amid the NBA suspension. First and foremost, the team must be consulted first. Moreover, players should provide whereabouts, remain home and practice social distancing.

The NBA suspended the 2019-20 season upon discovery of its first coronavirus case. Utah Jazz center tested positive for COVID-19, and the number has since grown as both Donovan Mitchell and Christian Wood were also infected by the disease. The original plan for the league is to re-evaluate the suspension after 30 days, but it seems more and more likely that the hiatus will extend for at least three months given the recent developments.

LeBron James and the Lakers, before the suspension, lead the Western Conference standings with a 49-14 record. They were also one of the favorites to win it all this campaign, thanks to their loaded roster and deep bench.

The whole season is in jeopardy and the cancellation of the whole campaign is very much a possibility. Should the league be able to resume, though, here's to hoping that the LeBron won't have the power of the Black Panther in him.
