Giannis Antetokounmpo suddenly announced on Tuesday that he was signing his supermax extension with the Milwaukee Bucks. When asked about Antetokounmpo's decision, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers shared his approval for Giannis remaining committed to the Bucks.

Ever since the end of the 2019-2020 season, there have been ongoing rumors on whether or not Giannis would commit to Milwaukee long-term. There were rumors that he could force a trade to another contending team in hopes to have a better chance to compete for a title.

However, the two-time NBA MVP announced via his Instagram on Tuesday that he was signing a five-year extension with the Bucks. The deal will be worth $228.2 million, giving him the richest contract in NBA history.

Of course, LeBron is viewed as one of the marquee faces in the NBA, which leads everyone to ask him about the events in the league. Some would say that LeBron and Giannis were in similar positions in their career, but James doesn't see it that way.

LeBron seemed committed to playing his entire career in Cleveland, only for the organization to fall short of giving him the needed help to compete for a championship. He would then leave the Cavaliers to form a dynamic trio with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat, where he won his first two titles.

On the other hand, the Bucks have shown a tendency to do everything they can to surround Antetokounmpo with talented players in hopes for a championship. After acquiring Jrue Holiday and having a team with Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, Donte DiVincenzo, Bryn Forbes, and Torrey Craig, Giannis felt comfortable enough to sign a multi-year deal with the Bucks.

And it's clear that the Lakers star is a fan of Giannis' decision to remain with the team that drafted him in 2013.
