Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James had some powerful words regarding the recent incident between the police and a black family in Aurora, Colorado.

Brittney Gilliam was with her daughter, sister and nieces on Sunday when police drew their weapons on them. They were arrested because the cops thought they had stolen the car Gilliam was driving.

LeBron saw the video and said it was “hurtful and disgraceful” that his fellow African Americans had to go through such an ordeal.

LeBron has always spoken out on racial injustices in America. It's why the Lakers star will be remembered more for his off-court actions than his on-court dominance with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Lakers — especially when you consider he built a school in Akron, Ohio.

James may be focused on winning title No. 4 with the Lakers down in Disney World, but he's also going to use this huge platform to speak out on things that are meaningful to him.

After losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, the Lakers dropped to 2-2 at Disney World. It will be interesting to see how head coach Frank Vogel handles the rest of the seeding games since the team has already clinched the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference standings.

There may be some benefit of playing LeBron James though, especially since he's been pretty rusty so far in Orlando.
