Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is known to be a man of fashion. In fact, the 14-time All-Star purchased a coordinated set of suites from Thom Browne for his teammates during last season's NBA Finals. In light of his heightened sense of style, the 33-year-old has been selected to take part in this year's New York Fashion Week as both an honoree and co-presenter.

In partnership with Nike, James will team up with Harlem Fashion Row for the event's style awards and fashion show on September 4th — two days ahead of New York Fashion Week's official start.

The sneaker giant’s leading athlete LeBron James is not only the event’s co-presenter but also one of the honorees. Suitably, the occasion is billed as “The Strongest.” The new Los Angeles Laker will share the stage with fellow honorees Bethann Hardison, Dapper Dan and stylist Jason Rembert.

James' pairing with Harlem Fashion Row is commendable. He's always been a man of equality, and that is exactly what HFR stands for. The company is widely-viewed as one of the most prestigious platforms for multicultural designers.

According to Feitelberg's report, there will be a unique dress code for the event. Guests and attendees are asked to wear a black tie and a pair of Nike's. Which set of kicks the King will choose to wear at this prestigious affair is still under wraps.
