Danny Green will reportedly go to the Los Angeles Lakers after Kawhi Leonard chose the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Green will sign a two-year deal with the Lakers worth $30 million.

The Toronto Raptors and the Dallas Mavericks were high on Green. However, the Raps appear out of the picture after Leonard decided to leave the team he led to its first-ever NBA title last season. The Mavs are also in strong pursuit of Green, but the Lakers turn put to be more attractive for the 32-year-old sharpshooter.

Green has been a coveted free agent this summer after proving that he can contribute to a championship contender. After winning a title in San Antonio, he also played a key role for the Raptors in their championship run. He only averaged 6.9 points in the playoffs last season, but his defense and leadership did not go unnoticed.

Green has emphasized throughout this offseason that he is looking to join a team that can pay him while also contending for the title. He recently said that the presence of Anthony Davis and LeBron James was a big factor why he was strongly considering the Lakers.

Now, after Green, the Lakers face a tough task of building around their superstar duo and putting up a championship-caliber team.
