In a game that saw Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks dismantle the Los Angeles Lakers, 131-116, Russell Westbrook had to watch his teammates from the bench—again—for the entirety of the fourth quarter.

Westbrook played 26 minutes, tallying 10 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists. He also had four turnovers and was atrocious from the field, hitting only three of his 11 shots. In the game's final seconds, the Lakers point guard was seen consoling his superstar teammates, who were visibly spent, on the bench.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis played 34 and 37 minutes, respectively. They're coming off an overtime win over the Knicks where James played 40 grueling minutes. With this kind of mileage in a short period, the Lakers could've used that extra gear with the help of Westbrook. Unfortunately, the triple-double machine has been a shadow of his old self all season long.

All is not nice in Tinseltown. Instability plagues the Lakers, no thanks to injuries to their superstars and inconsistency on both ends.

Los Angeles is arguably the most underwhelming team this season. All hope is not lost, though. Plenty of things could still happen from now until the trade deadline. Based on recent reports, the Lakers have been very busy with phone calls.

The loss to the Bucks marks the Lakers' fifth over the last seven contests. They're half a game behind the rejuvenated L.A. Clippers, who own the eighth spot in the West. Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans, armed with more firepower, are breathing down their necks.
