The Los Angeles Lakers have won five of their last seven games. Looking at things from that perspective, things seem to be looking up for the purple and gold.

But given the fact that the those two losses were both against the otherwise winless Oklahoma City Thunder, there's a reason the blemishes sting quite a bit.

The Lakers squandered their 19-point lead from earlier in the game, but still had chances to salvage a victory. But Russell Westbrook was unable to capitalize on two possessions in the final minute of the contest. He wasn't exactly in good spirits when asked about to dissect his miscues.

“No, you saw it,” said Westbrook to a Lakers reporter. “Don't ask me a question you know the answers to. You've seen it. Just watch the game. You seen what happened. Lost the ball, then missed the three.”

Westbrook had a chance to tie the game with just over 20 seconds remaining, but lost control of the ball. He also missed the game-tying three-pointer to send the game to overtime on the very final possession.

Russell Westbrook had 27 points, six rebounds, and five assists for the Lakers in their Thursday night matchup. For what it's worth, he was also a +6 during his time on the floor, tied for second-highest on the team for the night.
